This ornamental pepper is edible. Grows cone like small peppers that are most predominantly purple some yellow some Orange and then ripen's red.
Another great pepper type that I consider a porch pepper plant. Really lightens up a deck or a porch with the beautiful colors. A great conversational piece. As you're grilling you can pick some peppers and throw it on to your food.
The flavor like most ornamental peppers does have a certain bitterness to it but it also has a sweet and slight fruity flavor.
